Homemade Paneer


Next adventure in cheese was something I could eat and use right away. I have cheddar, Gouda and asiago aging in my basement. Being impatient it was time for instant gratification.

Paneer Recipe

1 gallon whole milk
1/4 c lemon juice

Gently bring milk to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Return to a medium head and heat until curds seperate
from whey. Place in a cheese press for 2 hours. Remove and cut into cubes.

The cubes can be fried for use in curries or kept in my case for some paneer parantha this week.
