Parker House Rolls
Recipe from Martha Stewart
1/4 c warm water
3 T sugar
3/4 c butter, melted and cooled
1 t salt
4 1/2 – 5 c all purpose flour
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c milk, room temp
2 1/2 t yeast
In stand mixer place water sugar and yeast. Let bloom for 10 minutes. Mix dry ingredients (do not mix 1/2 c flour) and add everything but the cup of flour to the stand mixer.
Knead for 8 minutes, adding additional flour if dough it too sticky. Cover and let rise until doubled. About 2 1/2 hours.
Punch dough down and cut into 24 rectangles. Fold in half and place on a cookie sheet. Let rise 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 F and bake 30-45 minutes.
