Fried Green Tomatoes

It snowed at my house yesterday, officially ruining my garden.  Which means, we picked a ton of green tomatoes, and am now trying to figure out ways to use them.

Fried Green Tomatoes

4 Green Tomatoes
1/2 c flour
1/4 c masa harina (corn flour)
1/2 c buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1 T Oil
1 t each of salt, garlic salt, paprika and onion powder.
1/2 t pepper
1 c panko crumbs
Oil for frying

Slice tomatoes very thin. Combine everything but the Panko crumbs and frying oil. Heat oil. Dip tomatoes into batter mixture and coat with panko crumbs. Fry until crispy and golden brown.

Serve hot. We made siracha aioli to dip them in and loved it.
